I am very proud of Hopewell's accomplishments this year. We have seen test scores rise and many individuals and groups receive recognition at the local and state levels. Our successes would not have been possible without your gracious and continued support. We are also very fortunate to have an outstanding PTA drawing support and its membership from a very willing community.
Reading only in school won't get the job done! Reading guru, Richard Allington, says, "regardless of other activities, the best predictor of summer loss or gain is whether or not a child reads during the summer." Studies suggest that reading as few as six books helps students hold their ground and students who read for fun score higher on all reading tests. Fulton County's suggested summer reading list is available on our website, www.hopewellmustangs.net, in the "Forms/Handbook" tab.
